Man questioned after police respond to 'armed man' reports in Belfast

A man was arrested after police responded to reports of a man armed with a knife in west Belfast overnight on Saturday.

Police were first alerted just before seven o'clock in the Fallswater Street area.

The suspect was found in a house in the Beechmount Street area, before what police call a prolonged containment and negotiation process followed.

The 22-year old is being questioned.
