Man in 'serious' condition after Coleraine assault

A man in his 50s is in a serious condition in hospital after an assault in Coleraine.

Police received a report at around 3:30 on Wednesday morning of a suspected assault in the town's Westbourne Crescent.

When the police arrived they found damage in the property and discovered the victim.

A 31-year old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.
