Man due in court over rooftop stand-off
A man is to appear in court following a rooftop stand-off in north Belfast.
Seven cars were damaged and a police officer was injured after a man climbed onto a roof in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
A police spokesperson said a man has been charged to court in relation to the incident in the Lepper Street area.
The 42-year-old will face Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Thursday charged with two counts of assault on police, three counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and four counts of criminal damage.
Police said all charges were reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
