Man arrested following vehicle interference in Londonderry
Police say a man was seen trying the door handle of vehicles in Derry
A man has been arrested following a report of vehicle interference in Londonderry yesterday (Sunday)
Police received a report shortly before 11.30pm that a man was seen trying the door handle of a vehicle in the area and of other vehicles in the Northland Road area of Derry.
Officers identified a suspect on the Northland Road carrying a piece of gardening equipment.
The 25-year-old was arrested on suspicion of interference with vehicles. He was also arrested on suspicion of theft and remains in custody at this time.
