Bangor fire treated as arson with intent to endanger life

Police are treating a fire in Bangor in the early hours of Sunday morning as arson with intent to endanger life.

The PSNI responded to a report of an attempted burglary around 20 to four in morning in the Fort Road.

Officers found a car set alight with the blaze spreading to a second vehicle parked nearby.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Colleagues from the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service also attended and extinguished the fire.

“We’re treating this as arson with intent to endanger life and our enquiries are ongoing.
