Man and woman arrested in connection with attempted theft of ATM in South Belfast

A man and woman have been arrested in connection with the attempted theft of an ATM in South Belfast.

PSNI Detective Inspector McCamley said, “We received a report shortly after 4am this morning, Monday 13th July, that an attempt had been made to gain access to an ATM machine in the Upper Lisburn Road area of Finaghy. Damage was noted to the ATM but nothing was taken."

“A man, aged in his 50s, and a woman aged in her 40s have been arrested on suspicion of a number of offences including attempted burglary, going equipped for burglary and drugs offences. They both remain in custody at this time. "
