Disney+ has renewed Hulu Original drama Paradise for a third season, with creator Dan Fogelman and lead star Sterling K. Brown returning to continue Agent Xavier Collins’ story.

The political thriller’s second season is currently streaming on Disney+ in the UK, with the finale landing on Monday 30th March 2026.

What is Paradise about?

Paradise is a political sci-fi thriller set in a vast underground bunker housing America’s elite after a global catastrophe. It follows Secret Service agent Xavier Collins as he investigates the president’s murder and uncovers a web of conspiracies about how and why the bunker city was created.

As Xavier digs deeper, he questions his own memories, the government’s story and the powerful billionaires controlling Paradise, while the residents struggle with survival, loyalty and the truth about the outside world.

What happened in season 2?

In season two, Xavier searches for Teri out in the world and discovers how people survived the three years since The Day. Back in Paradise, tensions rise as the bunker grapples with the fallout from season one, and fresh secrets are uncovered about the city’s origins.

Paradise’s debut season earned four Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series and acting nods for Sterling, James Marsden and Julianne Nicholson. Sterling also picked up Golden Globe, Critics’ Choice and Actor Award nominations, and won the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series.

After Disney+ shared the season 3 announcement, fans rushed to the comments section with one user demanding: 'But we need more than 8 episodes!', while another wrote: '🔥🔥 🔥 All I know is that Teri BETTER live forever!!!' (sic)

A third chimed: 'YASSSS 🔥🔥 This is the BEST News EVER!!!!', and a fourth fan said: 'Well DUH!!! Did they think 2 Seasons was even an option!?! 😂 that’s silly……..' (sic)

Season two’s cast includes Sterling Brown, Julianne Nicholson, Sarah Shahi, Nicole Brydon Bloom, Krys Marshall, Enuka Okuma, Aliyah Mastin, Percy Daggs IV and Charlie Evans, with recurring guest stars Marsden, Shailene Woodley, Thomas Doherty and Jon Beavers.

When is season 3 on Disney+?

While an exact date is to be confirmed by the streamer, reports point to an early 2027 target.

Paradise is created and executive produced by Fogelman. Jess Rosenthal, John Hoberg, Sterling, Steve Beers, Glenn Ficarra and John Requa also serve as executive producers on the 20th Television drama.
