Alan Halsall opens up about co-parenting with ex Lucy-Jo Hudson following 'feud' rumours
It's not always been smooth sailing
Alan Halsall and his Corrie co-star girlfriend Tisha Merry have revealed the ups and downs of co-parenting Alan’s daughter Sienna with his ex-wife Lucy-Jo Hudson, who he split from in 2018 after nine years of marriage.
The couple, who moved into Alan’s ginormous house together last year, have given their first joint interview to discuss how they manage to make their blended family work.
Speaking to OK! Magazine, Alan, who has played Tyrone Dobbs on Coronation Street since 1998, said, "There's always going to be ups and downs with a blended family.
"So long as Sienna comes first in all of it, that's all that matters. Sienna's got her mum and dad, and she's also got Lewis and Tisha. It's just a case that everybody loves her."
He went on to say, "Of course there will be differences of opinion; so long as we're in that loving way when Sienna is around.
"We don't have a great deal of communication, it's only ever about Sienna and that's all it ever needs to be."
Following their split, Lucy-Jo became engaged to actor Lewis Devine and the couple announced the arrival of their first child earlier this year.
But sparks flew when Lewis seemingly referred to Sienna, six, as his own, and Alan lashed out on Instagram.
Speaking to the publication, Tisha also hinted at starting a family of their own, musing, “He's such a good dad, he's so caring and loving. I would love that for our child if we have one.
“When I first got together with Alan and I became a bigger part of Sienna's life, my dad said 'this will be the making of you'.”

Sam, who has played Chesney Brown since 2003, received congratulatory messages from co-stars like Sally Ann Matthews and fans praising the creative reveal.
Kaley Cuoco
The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco announced in June that she's expecting her second child with her fiancé Tom Pelphrey. Sharing the news on Instagram, she wrote: 'completing our little family , what a dream come true ! 💖 This second time around journey has been a little windier in many ways , but wow we are so grateful for this moment!! Little sissy on the way!!! @tommypelphrey girl dad for life 🎀 and yes, the last pic is our dainty princess giving us the middle finger!🤦🏼♀️😆'. (sic)
Oti Mabuse
Former Strictly Come Dancing professional Oti Mabuse announced the lovely news in June that she's expecting her second child with her husband Marius Lepure. Posting the news to her Instagram page, Oti told her followers: 'Plot twist… 💛👶🏾We thought we had our hands full already, but life had even bigger plans. Baby No. 2 is joining the dance party, and our hearts (and house) are about to get a whole lot fuller'. (sic)
Anne Hathaway and Adam Shulman
Anne Hathaway announced the news that she was expecting on Friday 19th June 2026. The actress shared a video on Instagram showing herself wearing a cropped white top and long skirt, showing off her baby bump.
Leigh-Anne
Leigh-Anne Pinnock has announced she is expecting her third child, sharing a cute video accompanied by her song 'Heaven'. The singer, who is already mum to twins, with her husband Andre Gray, announced the lovely news writing: 'As one chapter ends, another begins 🥹💚'. Although she's not announced her exact due date, in early September, Leigh-Anne confirmed she's now into the third trimester.
Ciara and Russell Wilson
American singer Ciara announced in September that she's expecting her fifth child, her fourth with her husband Russell Wilson! The couple announced their news on Instagram in a cute video, with Ciara writing: 'One more person to Love 🖐🏽🥺🖤'. (sic)
Meanwhile, Alan is now back on set at Coronation Street after the soap was forced to postpone filming due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Corrie bosses confirmed they will be socially-distanced filming last month, with new episodes expected int he coming weeks.
