Teen thought to have 'fallen' into water at Withernsea
Searches for Grace Keeling are ongoing
Extensive shoreline and drone searches are continuing in Withernsea to find missing 15-year-old Grace Keeling.
Grace went missing after getting into difficulty in the water on Friday (2nd January).
Officers now believe she fell into the water after being swept by a wave.
Her mother Sarah Keeling and passer-by Mark Ratcliffe both died after jumping in to save her.
Two other members of the public who tried to save her managed to exit the water safely.
Humberside police say they're still working to establish exactly how the incident unfolded.
An increased police presence should be expected in the area for the rest of the week.
Chief Inspector Tom Stevens said, "Over the last five days we have been working to establish how the incident unfolded and understand the full circumstances of how Grace, Sarah and Mark came to be in the water.
“From trawling through CCTV and speaking to multiple witnesses who were in the area at the time, it is understood that Grace and her friend were on the steps near to the rocks when Grace is believed to have fallen into the water after being swept by a wave."
