Four people - including a baby girl - have died following a serious crash in Derby.

A car came off the A38 between the A50 Toyota Island and the A516, and went into trees at around 11pm on Saturday (25 July).

Two women, aged 18 and 30, and a 36-year-old man died at the scene. The baby girl was taken to hospital where she later died.

All were passengers in the same car.

The driver, a 33-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries where he remains. He has been arrested on causing death by dangerous driving.

All involved are from Leeds, West Yorkshire.

The relatives have been involved and are being supported by specialist officers.

Police are urging anyone who saw what happened, or who has dashcam footage, to get in touch.
