Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight has given an update on his “phenomenal” Oasis film.

Way back in March 2025, it was announced that Steven Knight will produce a feature-length documentary film about Oasis’ triumphant 2025 reunion tour with both Noel and Liam Gallagher heavily involved in the project.

In a new interview with Project Big Screen to promote the Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man movie, 66-year-old Knight revealed what to expect from the Oasis doc.

“It’s phenomenal”, Knight enthused. “We’ve got down to four hours, so we’ve got to get it down (again).

“It’s a documentary with a plot. It’s actually got a story. We’ve expanded it, you’ll see when you see it. It’s been great, (Oasis) have been great, they’re fantastic to work with.

“I interviewed (Noel and Liam) and they’re just one quote after another, they’re just so funny.”

Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace are directing the as-yet-untitled documentary film. They previously made LCD Soundsystem’s critically acclaimed 2012 concert film Shut Up and Play the Hits.

The film is being produced by Magna Studios (Beastie Boys Story, Gangs of London, 20000 Days on Earth) and will be distributed by Sony Music Vision.

It’s currently unknown when the Oasis film will be released.
