Watch Rush perform live with Anika Nilles for the first time
They play 'Finding My Way' at surprise Juno Awards appearance
Rush performed live for the first time with drummer Anika Nilles at the Juno Awards in Ontario on Sunday night (29th March).
The unannounced, electrifying performance kicked off the Canadian music awards at the TD Coliseum in spectacular style.
Rush’s Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, touring drummer Anika Nilles and keyboardist Loren Gold tore through a blistering ‘Finding My Way’, the very first track on Rush’s self-titled debut album.
Former Jeff Beck drummer Anika Nilles showcased her prowess behind the kit, and she clearly enjoyed the special moment, smiling throughout.
During the perfect performance, images of Rush throughout the years flashed up on the backdrop screens, including of late-great drummer Neil Peart, who Geddy and Alex are honouring on the multi-year Fifty Something Tour.
