Pulp to release live album and concert film
'Live!' lands this August
Pulp have announced a new live album, the aptly entitled ‘Live!’, and details of an upcoming concert film.
Released on Friday 28th August 2026 via Rough Trade Records, ‘Live!’ immortalises Pulp’s triumphant sell-out concerts at London’s The O2 in June 2025 in support of their chart-topping album ‘More’.
“A concert is an event where songs come back to life. That's why this album is called ‘Live!’,” says Jarvis Cocker. “It's both a statement of fact (it's a recording of a live band) & a challenge (come on! Everyone come alive!).”
As a taster for the album, Pulp have shared ‘A Sunset’ video and audio of ‘Disco 2000’ from The O2:
Following the release of ‘Live!’, a Garth Jennings directed movie, ‘Pulp: What Do You Do For an Encore?’, will launch worldwide on MUBI this autumn.
Jennings previously directed Pulp’s ‘Help The Aged’ video back in 1997, and he helped the band design the staging concept for their reunion tour in 2023.
He later filmed the band’s two performances at The O2, and this footage provides the main content of the film.
‘Live!’ will be available on double vinyl – both in a limited-edition blue pressing available from the band & label webstore and independent record shops and on black vinyl – double CD and via digital streaming services.
