Noah Kahan has proven himself as a consistently talented singer, songwriter and performer over the last few years. Although Noah was gaining a dedicated fanbase for many years before 'Stick Season', its huge surge in popularity in 2024 caused it to hit the top spot in the UK charts and he's since gained an even bigger following.

With the release of his fourth album 'The Great Divide', Noah will be heading to the UK for some tour dates in November 2026 - so what better time to get prepared by looking back through his discography so far?

How many albums has Noah Kahan released?

There have been four records put out by Noah so far: 'Busyhead' (2019), 'I Was / I Am' (2021), 'Stick Season' (2022) and 'The Great Divide' (2026). He also has two EPs: 'Hurt Somebody' (2018) and 'Cape Elizabeth' (2020).

Noah Kahan's debut album: 'Busyhead'

Having signed to Republic Records in 2017, Noah released his debut album 'Busyhead' on 14th June 2019. The track listing was: 'False Confidence', 'Mess', 'Hurt Somebody' (featuring Julia Michaels), 'Young Blood', 'Busyhead', 'Cynic', 'Save Me', 'Sink', 'Tidal' and 'Carlo's Song'.

The record didn't chart in the UK, but did go to 83 on the main albums chart in Canada. It's since been certified Silver in the UK with over 60,000 sales.

Second album: 'I Was / I Am'

Noah started working on his second album in the later months of 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic was still ongoing, releasing the record on 17th September 2021. The track listing is: 'Part of Me', 'Animal', 'Caves', 'Bad Luck', 'Godlight', 'Someone Like You' (featuring Joy Oladokun), 'Fear of Water', 'Hollow', 'Bury Me' and 'Howling'.

Noah said of the album when it was announced: "While writing this record, I’ve taken stock of who I am as compared to who I was when I started and what that means, for better or worse. I do have some perspective. I’ve also lost a lot. I’ve lost people close to me for different reasons ... Those experiences haven’t necessarily hardened me, but they’ve made me incredibly grateful for what I have now."

'I Was / I Am' saw Noah's star begin to rise over here in the UK - it didn't break into the Top 40, but it did chart, hitting Number 70 and even going as far up the charts as Number 15 in Scotland.

Noah's third album 'Stick Season'

While writing his second album 'I Was / I Am', Noah shared a clip of himself singing a new song on TikTok that would turn out to be the song 'Stick Season', telling Boston magazine in August 2023 that he was going to delete it after it barely got any traction.

Instead, he went to sleep, and woke up to see comments and likes pouring in - which encouraged him to keep fleshing it out, eventually releasing the song in July 2022. He told Billboard that he was inspired to slightly change his sound for his third record, listening to the likes of Phoebe Bridgers and Sam Fender - who he'd go on to collaborate with on a remix of 'Homesick', which appeared on one of the deluxe editions of the album 'Stick Season'.

The original album was released on 14th October 2022, later going to Number 1 in the UK album charts in February 2024, where it's also been certified 2x Platinum.

The track listing is: 'Northern Attitude', 'Stick Season', 'All My Love', 'She Calls Me Back', 'Come Over', 'New Perspective', 'Everywhere, Everything', 'Orange Juice', 'Strawberry Wine', 'Growing Sideways', 'Halloween', 'Homesick', 'Still' and 'The View Between Villages'.

'Stick Season (We'll All Be Here Forever)'

The expanded edition, entitled 'Stick Season (We'll All Be Here Forever)', was released on 9th June 2023 and featured an extra seven tracks: 'Your Needs, My Needs', 'Dial Drunk', 'Paul Revere', 'No Complaints', 'Call Your Mom', 'You're Gonna Go Far' and an extended version of 'The View Between Villages'.

'Stick Season (Forever)'

Noah then released a third version of the album, entitled 'Stick Season (Forever)', on 9th February 2024. This version began with the eponymous track 'Forever', followed by songs from the previous iterations of the record - but this time, with featured artists.

The full track list is as follows: 'Forever', 'Dial Drunk' (with Post Malone), 'Call Your Mom' (with Lizzy McAlpine), 'She Calls Me Back' (with Kacey Musgraves), 'Northern Attitude' (with Hozier), 'Everywhere, Everything' (with Gracie Abrams), 'Homesick' (with Sam Fender), 'You're Gonna Go Far' (with Brandi Carlile), and 'Paul Revere' (with Gregory Alan Isakov).

Upon the release of the album's third version, Noah explained his feelings of this era of his life coming to an end: "Forever is a long time. This album cycle has felt like forever, and I’ve loved every second of it. I have loved living in this world. I have never felt more comfortable in my own skin, more proud of what I was representing in my songwriting, and more vindicated by the response to a record that was really an extension of my soul.

"The word ‘forever’ used to terrify me. I hate finality, there is too much uncertainty and boredom affiliated with ‘the rest of time.’ Now though, I’ve found forever to mean there is limitless possibility. There is so much joy in the world, waiting to be found. That is something that Stick Season has shown me, that this year has shown me. Sometimes it just takes a change in perspective."

Noah Kahan's new album: 'The Great Divide'

Noah's hugely-anticipated fourth album 'The Great Divide' was released on 24th April 2026, hitting Number 1 in at least nine countries around the world - including here in the UK - and reaching the Top 10 in plenty more.

The track list is: 'End of August', 'Doors', 'American Cars', 'Downfall', 'Paid Time Off', 'The Great Divide', 'Haircut', 'Willing and Able', 'Dashboard', '23', 'Porch Light', 'Deny Deny Deny', 'Headed North', 'We Go Way Back', 'Spoiled', 'All Them Horses' and 'Dan'.

Noah said of the record: "It is hard to even begin to describe what these last few years making this album has felt like. The collision of fear and pressure and joy and luck and total love has left me wordless.

"I spent many months walking forward in complete darkness, hands out in front of me, desperate to touch something familiar that would show me I was near the light switch again. I was never really alone.

"I don’t think any of us ever truly are. I was guided through the wilderness by calm voices, by the stillness of my home state, by the total commitment of my band, producers, and team, by the steady and loving touch of my wife and family, and of course, by the constant and enduring encouragement of my fans. I am very proud of what we are doing together, and I hope we can live this dream for a long long time."

'The Great Divide: The Last of the Bugs' deluxe edition

Noah then surprise-released a deluxe edition of his fourth album, entitled 'The Great Divide: The Last of the Bugs', a day after the official album on 25th April 2026. It contained four new tracks: 'Lighthouse', 'Staying Still', 'A Few of Your Own' and 'Orbiter'.

The title 'The Last of the Bugs' is a reference to Noah's song 'The View Between Villages', which appeared on his third album 'Stick Season'. It can be heard in the lyrics of the first verse: 'Air in my lungs / 'Til the road begins / As the last of the bugs / Leave their homes again.'

Noah explained his fascination with bugs in an interview with Rolling Stone, confirming that his mum Lauri used to call him her "little bug" and that seeing ladybirds all over the place where he recorded the album gave him the confidence to carry on.

He told the publication: "Bugs represent these things that go away but return. In the winter, I was in that cold feeling, where there’s nothing around and nothing’s alive. And when I started feeling happier and creative again, I felt like I could hear the beetles and the crickets. They started to return for the spring, so I see them as a metaphor for what I’m going through in my life."
